Green or Ethical Computing?

Use your smartphone as your main computer

 

Seeing as now we have access to very high spec and high performance smartphones like the iPhone 4, HTC Desire and many more. Could we use them as our main computer?

The main reason i want to be able to do this is because, this seems like the greenest approach. Smartphones are powerful and versatile, very small and so use smaller amounts of materials than desktops, laptops and even netbooks. They also consume less power and are fully mobile.

 Here at The Green IT Company I did a lot of research into what was the greenest laptop when I needed a new laptop in late 2009.

My findings were that on the whole as per usual none were really that Green as after all the materials they use and the manufacturing process is not that green at all.
