ECO friendly external hard drive housing - BytePac

The Convar BytePac brings a refreshing change to the market. Its great to see a company choosing using a more bio-degradeable material such as cardboard, rather than the normal fossil based materials. If only more companies were bold enough to explore the use of greener materials.

Its a cardboard external hard drive housing that can handle 2.5" or 3.5" drives.

Use your smartphone as your main computer

 

Seeing as now we have access to very high spec and high performance smartphones like the iPhone 4, HTC Desire and many more. Could we use them as our main computer?

The main reason i want to be able to do this is because, this seems like the greenest approach. Smartphones are powerful and versatile, very small and so use smaller amounts of materials than desktops, laptops and even netbooks. They also consume less power and are fully mobile.

Green Laptops

 Here at The Green IT Company I did a lot of research into what was the greenest laptop when I needed a new laptop in late 2009.
